A laryngectomy patient’s voice-prosthesis change schedule and stoma airway care are tracked as a lifelong routine, because a leaking or blocked prosthesis is both an aspiration risk and a loss of the patient’s only means of speech — the change interval and any early failure are logged against the specific prosthesis in use.
It does not change the prosthesis itself — the ENT team or trained caregiver does; the app tracks the schedule and what was found.
