What it is

A chest drain’s output, air leak, and respiratory swing are charted at every round against the standard removal criteria, so the decision to pull the tube rests on three trended readings instead of one nurse’s glance at the bottle. An air leak that hasn’t settled by the expected day is flagged rather than assumed to be resolving.
