The elective-surgery waiting list is scored against clinical urgency criteria — diagnosis, symptom progression, functional impact — rather than left to run strictly by booking date, so a patient whose condition is worsening on the list can move up on a documented reason instead of a phone call to the surgeon’s secretary.
It does not decide clinical urgency — a clinician scores it; the app orders the queue by the score and records why it changed.
