A LASIK candidate’s corneal topography and refraction are screened against the standard red flags — keratoconus suspicion, thin cornea, unstable refraction — before the case is listed, with the screening outcome and reasoning recorded so a rejected candidate’s file shows why, not just that they were turned down.
It does not perform or interpret the topography scan — it screens the entered results against the standard flags; the surgeon makes the final call.
