The Labour Welfare Fund contribution differs by state, in both the amount and the filing calendar, so each employee’s due is worked out against their own state’s notification and rolled up into the return that state expects. A filed return and its receipt are kept against the period it covers.
It does not remit the contribution to the fund itself — it computes what is due and prepares the return; the payment is made through the normal statutory-payment channel.
