Unused earned leave at exit is valued against the employee’s last drawn salary under the policy’s own encashment rule, and the figure lands on the final settlement rather than being separately tracked and forgotten. The leave ledger it reads from is the same one used all year, so nothing is recomputed from scratch.
It does not decide which leave types are encashable — that is set by policy; it applies whatever the policy says to the balance on the day of exit.
